Taylor Fancher, PMHNP-BC

Nearly fifteen years
of psychiatric care.

I'm Taylor Fancher — an integrative, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2018 with nearly fifteen years of psychiatric experience. I've gained expertise across outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, residential treatment centers, IOP/PHPs, community health, and at-risk populations in underserved communities — from Brooklyn, NY to Seattle, WA and across the great state of Texas.

My experience in child and adolescent psychiatry at Dallas Children's and adult, geriatric, and addiction psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) has helped form my psychiatric approach across the full lifespan.

My goal is to nurture a long-term, trusting relationship to help you become the best version of yourself — not prescribe a medication and send you on your way. As an integrative clinician, I treat you as a whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I draw from nutritional supplements (nootropics and nutraceuticals), mind-body medicine, herbal and plant-based approaches, and Western psychiatric tools including prescription medication and solution-focused and CBT-informed therapy.

Having personal experience with anxiety and panic, I'm able to empathize with my clients' struggles and pain in a unique way — and use my expertise to help you achieve your individual and specific goals.

Rooted in family & community

Outside of medicine, Taylor is a devoted husband and father to four wonderful daughters. Family is at the center of his life, and that perspective shapes the warmth and genuine care he brings to every client relationship.

Outside of session I can be found with my wife and four daughters cleaning up a mess or getting time in the pool. If God is particularly gracious, I'll be golfing or having a jam session on the guitar.

Our family is proud to be rooted right here in Southlake — it's why I built this practice in the community I love.

Care designed
around you

I take a whole-person approach — integrating conventional psychiatric care with functional medicine, advanced lab testing, pharmacogenomic testing, nutritional psychiatry, and lifestyle medicine. No cookie-cutter protocols. Every plan is built around you.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
75 min · $395
Where we start and build depth. A complete psychiatric assessment focused on getting to know you as a whole person. I'll assess the need for medication, lifestyle modifications, nutritional changes, supplements, advanced laboratory analysis, interpersonal relationship dynamics, and spirituality.
Extended Care Alignment Session
50 min · $325
An extended-length personalized follow-up focused on understanding your progress and refining your treatment in the beginning stages of care. These sessions are also used for complex cases, genetic testing review, and advanced laboratory analysis.
Care Alignment Session
30 min · $225
A personalized follow-up focused on understanding your progress, refining your treatment, and helping you move forward with clarity and steadiness. Most clients transition to these shorter sessions once stable.
Genetic Testing
Paid to GeneSight · Out-of-pocket max ~$330
Testing of your unique genetics to determine optimal psychotropic medication options. Commonly done for clients who have tried and failed more than three medications, but available to anyone who wants specific information about which medications will work best for them.
Advanced Laboratory Testing
Varies · Paid to Fullscript
Targeted lab work to uncover root-cause contributors to mental health challenges — including nutritional deficiencies, inflammatory markers, thyroid function, and more. Not hormone-focused. Results are reviewed together and integrated into your care plan.
Free 15-Minute Consultation
No charge · New clients
Let's make sure I'm the right fit for you. We'll chat for 15 minutes about your goals, my expertise, and how I can help. No pressure, no obligation.

My approach

Integrative psychiatry means looking beyond the surface — asking not just "what are your symptoms?" but "what is driving them?" I combine advanced clinical training with functional medicine tools, advanced lab testing, and genetic insights to build care plans as unique as the people I serve. I keep my panel intentionally small so every client receives the depth of attention they deserve.

We're here to
make it easy

Starting care can feel like a big step. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.

Do you accept insurance?
+
I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I'm not beholden to your insurance company's requirements to permanently document your diagnosis, immediately prescribe medication, or complete sessions as quickly as possible. Your care is private, confidential, and fully personalized to you. Many clients find that this fosters a more comfortable and effective treatment experience. I do provide superbills upon request that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan's out-of-network coverage.
What areas of mental health do you specialize in, and what age range do you see?
+
I work with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults across a wide range of mental health challenges — including anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, PTSD, depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, ADHD, and more. I also offer parent coaching and functional nutrition support. Whether this is your first experience with mental health care or you've been labeled "treatment resistant," I'd be honored to walk with you.
What makes Taylor different from other providers?
+
Most psychiatric care focuses on symptom management — I focus on root causes. That means going beyond a diagnosis to understand your biology, lifestyle, nutrition, genetics, relationships, and faith. I use advanced lab testing, pharmacogenomic (genetic) testing, and integrative medicine tools alongside conventional psychiatry. I also keep my panel intentionally small so every client receives the time and attention they deserve.
What is it like to work with Taylor?
+
I have an approachable, warm style that allows you to feel safe and heard. I'm selective in who I take on as clients so as to provide the utmost care in and out of session. I value people and love what I do — and I make every effort for my clients to feel that when we work together. Faith-based care is also available upon request for those who desire it.
Is medication forever? Can you help me taper off medication?
+
Not necessarily — and yes, I can help with tapering. Medication is a tool, not always a life sentence. My goal is to understand why you're struggling and address those root causes. For some clients, that means medication short-term while we work on other factors. For others, it means optimizing lifestyle, nutrition, and supplements so that medication may no longer be necessary. Any tapering is done carefully, collaboratively, and on your timeline.
